Edible acetic acid (Also as glacial acetic acid) I. Edible acetic acid is classified into two types based on its production process: 1.Acetic acid in alcohol process (Also as Alcoholic acetic acid) .  2.Carbonyl acetic acid. Ii. Uses of Edible Acetic Acid: When used as a food flavoring, ethanoic acid needs to be diluted and can be used to make soft drinks, cold drinks, candies, baked goods, puddings, condiments, etc.  As an acidulant, it can be used to mix beverages, canned food, etc. III. Characteristics: Environmental friendliness: Compared with traditional fermentation methods, chemical oxidation methods are faster, but they may produce waste liquids containing manganese, chromium, etc. (which need to be treated). Catalytic oxidation methods (such as Pd/Cu catalysts) are cleaner and in line with the trend of green chemistry.
