It contains silicon nitride phase(Si₃N₄), which provides excellent resistance to high temperature, thermal shock, corrosion, and wear. When added to refractory products, Ferro Silicon Nitride helps improve their strength and durability under harsh working conditions. Ferrosilicon Nitride is commonly used in blast furnace taphole clay and Al₂O₃-SiC-C based refractories. It helps extend the service life of refractory products and improves their performance during long-term operation.
