Product Description   Straight shaft forgings are hot-forged, ring-rolled or open-die upset bars supplied in lengths 1–15 m and diameters 80–1 200 mm, weights up to 25 t. Materials cover carbon, low-alloy, stainless and duplex grades (C45, 42CrMo4, 17-4 PH, F51) melted in electric arc or ESR furnaces. Forging reduction ratio ≥4:1 refines grain and removes porosity; final straightness ≤1 mm/m is achieved by incremental press straightening while still warm.     Performance Quench-and-temper or normalize yields 450–900 MPa tensile, 280–650 MPa yield, ≥35 J at –20 °C Charpy; properties are verified at 1/2-radius. 100 % ultrasonic inspection to EN 10228-2 and magnetic particle to ASTM E709 guarantee freedom from cracks, segregation or flakes.   Features 360° continuous grain flow doubles fatigue strength versus machined bar stock; central pilot bore (Ø40–150 mm) can be gun-drilled to reduce weight and accept condition-monitoring cables. As-forged allowance 3–10 mm per side cuts machining…
